Is osteomyology safe? Osteomyology is a safe and natural approach. The treatment is tailored to your individual case and the practitioners use a range of techniques, we will pick those best suited to you.
What should I wear? In order to properly assess your posture and movements it is common to be asked to undress to your underwear. Feel free to bring along a pair of shorts, or anything that you are comfortable in. Gowns are also available upon request.
Will it hurt? Osteomyology treatment is always tailored to the individual. Some soft tissue treatment may cause discomfort during treatment. Your practitioner will tell you what to expect; please tell us if you are in pain. If you are uncomfortable with a particular technique there is probably another way to achieve the same results in a more agreeable manner.
Should I see my GP before seeing an osteomyologists? This is not necessary unless you are feeling unwell. Osteomyologists are trained to detect medical conditions. If an practitioner is in any doubt and feel that medical intervention is required then you will be referred to your GP.
Am I too old for osteomyology treatment? Age is no barrier as treatment is always adapted to the individual needs of the patient. A patient with osteoporosis can have osteomyology treatment. Only very gentle treatment techniques are used.
Can I bring a friend or relative? Yes, if you wish to, you can have someone present for the whole case history, examination and treatment.
